Welcome to the Mend My Back Conditioning Program: four modules focusing on back mobility, back stability, flexibility, and strength.
The Mend My Back Program came to life after Ian, one of the creators of Mend My Back, went through back surgery. He was diagnosed with 5 herniated discs. When the idea of surgery was presented to him he turned it down at first. At the time it felt like surgery was the only solution. In hind sight, we'll never know. He realized what had become a serious back problem was the accumulation of micro bad habits accumulated over the years.
Most of us go see a professional when problems are present to get fixed! Prevention is important.
Today, functional movement testing helps reveal weaknesses that, in hind sight, Ian was unaware that he had. Few people take the time to see someone who is trained in movement science knowledge.
Kinesiologists, athletic therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors have the knowledge to validate such muscular imbalances that could lead to eventual injury if not taken care of.
As a movement specialist, Laura is fortunate to have worked along side dedicated osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, athletic therapists and sports medicine doctors who have continuously referred clients to her over the years to regain their movement autonomy and get their backs better.
Laura's experience and caring attitude combined with her referral network of specialized professionals help make this program a trusted resource for back care. We employ active recovery and corrective exercise techniques to help you move better and feel better.
